Apple and Xiaomi eat their rivals



They gain in sales in the period of greatest consumption: Christmas and Black Friday


   Apple paraded yesterday by the catwalk of results where it returned to dazzle with the results of the past exercise, although the sale of its famous iPhone fell a 1% in comparison with previous quarter . However, according to the IDC consultant, the last three months of 201 have two clear winners: Apple and Xiaomi.

Months especially marked in the companies with Christmas and Black Friday as special periods of consumption. The market share of Apple in this latter part of 2017 has reached 19.2% while Samsung remains at 18.4%. Curiously, both have risen with respect to 2017, although Apple has done it with more force.

   The other battle being waged in the market is the leadership of Chinese brands, which is still led by Huawei with a 10.2% market share that remains in a comfortable third place, according to the IDC report.

More interesting is the fight for the fourth and fifth place in which Xiaomi has eaten his rival Oppo . With its international expansion, Xiaomi has taken 7% of the total market. While Oppo stays at 6.8%, which lowers a position.

However, the positions of Apple and Samsung do not seem to be in danger , since Huawei has the difficult job of trying to surpass Samsung and Apple but above all in not being overtaken by Oppo and Xiaomi, who have plans to increase their presence globally.
